Historique :	Cette cloche qui proviendrait de l'abbaye détruite en partie en 1799, parvint dans des conditions inconnues à Auguste Champy, antiquaire et propriétaire du château de Saint-Apollinaire. Promise par ce dernier, elle fut donnée pour l'église Saint-Paul en septembre 1913, par le nouveau propriétaire du château. Charles Richard Cammell et Elisabeth Mac Alester, acquis le 16 août 1912. Ne comportant aucune inscription, la cloche fut alors dénommée Benedicta. La cloche a fait l'objet d'une étude par Hervé Gouriou, expert en patrimoine campanaire auprès du ministère de la Culture qui a confirmé sa datation du 14e siècle. Compte-tenu de sa grande ancienneté, de sa fragilité et du fait qu'elle ne s'intègre pas musicalement avec les sonneries des trois autres cloches plus récentes, il en conseille la dépose soit dans un musée soit dans une église.
